Welcome to the website of the
2006 Australian National Youth Ice Hockey Team.
In 2006 the
team will travel to Lithuania to participate in the Division
II World Championships from March 15 to 21.

Captains Announced
The coaches have announced
the captain and alternate captains for the 2006 NYT. They

Congratulation to the
boys on their selection, they are all players that experiencedvictory
last year in Div III and know what it takes to lead the team
& succeed. They
will do a great job this year.

After a number of player withdrawals
the team seems to be quite settled now.There are 22 days to
go before the team departs to the training camp in the Czech
Republic. This year the camp will be held in Slany, which
is about 20km from Prague airport. The facility is very modern
and has the added benefit of having the ice rink as a part
of the hotel, which means about a 30 second walk to the rink.
Or so I am led to believe. The team will be at the camp from
February 25th till March 13th. Hopefully the training at the
camp together with the pre camp training the players are doing
will prepare the team for the tough competition that awaits
in Division 2.
Airline tickets have been booked,
uniforms made and currently being delivered, paperwork completed,
budget prepared, we are ready.
